FAMILY SESSIONS



My family photoshoots in Oxfordshire are the most joyous chaos. They are not only a moment to capture your family exactly as it is at this particular age and stage before it is lost to the sands of time, but a family session is also the gift of connection. When else do we give ourselves permission to put away our phones, watches, work and devices? When else do we give ourselves permission to untether from work and life and chores, and just connect?

The dedicated time to play that a family session demands gives you that permission. It gives you space to be totally present, in this moment; to go off grid. And whenever you look back at your pictures, that is what you will remember. The sound of your son's laugh. The way your daughter insisted on wearing her favourite hat, despite the fact it didn't 'go'. The moment your mum held the children and guffawed at their silliness. Paper planes soaring through the air. Sweeping your baby and toddler up inside the softest blanket. Kissing chubby wrists and delicious leg rolls.

There will be years and years of adulthood, lots of it terribly serious. There is only a short while of this.
